Rebates
Since the early closure of both the Solar Homes and Communities Plan and the RRPGP, the major current incentives for the installation of solar power systems are the National Solar Schools Program, renewable energy certificates and some state and territory based feed in tariffs or which the ACT scheme is probably the only one to provide any significant incentive. The new Solar Credits scheme to replace the $8,000 SHCP is yet to pass through the senate, although once this does occur all systems installed from June 9th will be eligible provided they did not receive the SCHP rebate.
Solar Horizon can undertake the rebate application process as part of its service to customers. Our familiarity with this process ensures that the rebate is approved and received in a minimum amount of time.
Green loans are planned to allow the installation of a range of energy efficieny, solar energy and rain water harvesting options but are yet to come into effect.
