- System Power Rating: 1.5kW
- Annual Emissions Reduction: ~2.23 tonnes of CO2
- Average Energy Production: ~6kWh per day

Richard had his 1.5kW solar power system installed in 2008 to further reduce his household's carbon footprint. Richard drives a Prius, has enjoyed solar hot water for a number of years and has made several energy efficiency improvements, however he wanted to go one step further by creating his own electricity from the sun. The system currently covers approximately 75% of his home's electricity usage.
“Dear Solar Horizon,
Thank you for all your assistance with the installation of my new solar power system. Your staff have been so helpful in every step of the process; from completing and submitting all the paperwork for the government grant, liaising with the local council, installing the system and assisting after installation with setting up a data monitoring system. They communicated well with me the whole way through and once my claim was approved, the installation was swift and professional and all your staff are friendly and always willing to assist me with any questions I have. It's great creating my own electricity, monitoring my production of renewable energy and seeing a discount on my energy bill.
I have no hesitation in recommending you and appreciate your fine product and friendly service. Thank you!”

“We really wanted to ‘do the right thing' for the planet's future. Through solar, never thinking the returns would be immediate, we are already benefiting from significant reductions in our quarterly energy costs as well as knowing that we are lowering our household's carbon footprint. Electricity prices are going up each year so our financial reward will increase rather than decrease.
Solar Horizon installed our solar power system on a difficult roof. It faces south and needed to be tilted up from the roof to face north. Solar Horizon have a photovoltaic engineer on staff who designed our system. The neighbours were satisfied so we are very happy with the result. They are professional, efficient, experienced and polite.
If you are going solar I can recommend working with Solar Horizon.”

“Our home was affected by the recent storms that swept northern NSW. Our roof was badly damaged and required total replacement. We were initially very disappointed as we had recently installed a 1kW solar power system which we were both very proud of. To our surprise our solar panels survived the entire storm unscathed. The roof was damaged enough to require replacement, yet the panels were fine! Solar Horizon removed the solar panels and reinstalled them again after the roof was replaced, at no cost to us. The system still works perfectly and we are very happy knowing that every day we are generating our own clean energy.
We both appreciated the friendly service, commitment to quality, both in the materials and the installation and their patience with our many questions. We would recommend Solar Horizon to anyone interested in going solar who cares about quality and service."
